Diego Oliva Yippee CEO of Starknet Foundation since March 2023, the date it was created. During his tenure he was led the landing of STRK tokens and was the initiative of various programs, including DeFi SpringSeed Grants or Catalyst and Propulsion programs.
It is clear that Oliva’s mandate will not be easy. In fact, he had to face community anger that fell on the Starknet Foundation after the airdrop which took place last February.
August 6 Diego Oliva has announced that he will step down as CEO of the Starknet Foundation.
The latter will be replaced by James Strudwick, who now holds the position of CEO. He joined the Starknet Foundation last January as head of ecosystem growth. His experience makes him a prime candidate for the CEO position.

This change in leadership comes several months after major upheavals, this time on the StarkWare side. Indeed, Uri Kolodny, the former CEO of StarkWare, gave way to Eli Ben-Sasson last January.
He announced that he was resigning for health reasons, specifying that he would continue to be involved as a member of the board of directors.
On the Starknet side, development continues. Therefore, the protocol recently announced a partnership that aims to connect Starknet with the Cosmos ecosystem. This would be achieved through the integration of IBC, Cosmos’ cross communication protocol.
